Deshan Perera shines for CIS
Colombo International School beat Wycherley International School by
151 runs in the Under-13 Inter-International Schools' match played at
Wattala recently.
Colombo International School scored 213 for six wickets, in reply
Wycherly's 62.
Colombo International School Vice Captain Deshan Perera scored 85
runs including two sixes and 15 fours, Hashen's contribution was 21.
Deshan Perera also bagged 4 wickets. Raguraman captured 2 wickets for
the winning team.
Quarter-final will be staged in today Colombo International School
will meet Royal Institute at Lyceum Wattala Grounds.

Special tent for Rajans - Kingswood big match

Young old boys of Dharmarajah College, Kandy, here organized a
special tent for the first time for Dharmarajah and Kingswood old boys
to witness the 100th big match to be played at the Asgiriya Stadium on
March 13 and 14.

Ananda - Nalanda mediamen at cricket
The eighth annual cricket match between old Anandians Media circle
and Old Nalandian Media forum will be played at the CCC ground on March
14. This year the organisers for the event is Old Nalandians Media
forum.
Out of the seven games played Old Anandians Media men lead the series
with four victories while the Nalandian Media have three wins under
their belt. Anusha Sanjeewa Edirimuni will lead the mediamen from Ananda
while his opposite member is Nalin Aponso. The organiser request all Old
Boys to be present on this occasion.

Beach volleyball trials
Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation has made arrangements to conduct
trials for boys and girls to select players for the beach volleyball
team which is expected to participate at the 1st Asian Youth Games to be
held in Singapore from June 26 to July 7.
Players born from 1992-01-01 to 93-12-31 are eligible to send in
their entries for the trials before March 20. The entries should be
directed to W. Nihal Fernando, Deputy Director, Education (Physical
Education), President SLSVBA, Education Ministry, Isurupaya,
Battaramulla.
Trials are to be conducted at beach of the Mount Lavinia Hotel on
March 28 and 29 from 8 a.m. onwards.
Leeds by 24 runs
Leeds International School, Panadura defeated Lyceum International
School, Nugegoda by 24 runs in their under 13 quater final cricket
encounter which was played at Shalika grounds.
Leeds International 121 for 9 in 30 overs (Vibuda de Soysa 25,
Harshika Kuruppu 23, Thilan Walallawita 20).
