Russia condemns blast

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko yesterday condemned the bomb blast in Akuressa on Tuesday.

A release said Moscow strongly condemned the barbaric crime and expressed its condolences to the families of those killed and injured in the terrorist attack. Russia confirms its consistent support of the struggle of the people and Government of Sri Lanka against terrorism and separatism and hopes that peace and stability on the island on the basis of political solution of the existing problems will be established soon, the release said.
