Arrowroot cultivation in Batti

Under the Nagenahira Navodaya program, an arrowroot cultivation project has been launched in Porathivu Pattu in the Batticaloa district.

The Agriculture Department taken steps to cultivate arrowroot in more lands.

The project has been successful in the Batticaloa West area as it has a suitable climate and fertile land for the cultivation.

Provincial Agricultural Director Eastern Province K. Pathmanathan visited the area on an inspection tour.
