Kolathur Mani arrested for supporting LTTE

Chennai, Mar 2: Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam leader Kolathur Mani was arrested last morning for his alleged support to the banned LTTE.

Mani, who was lodged in Salem Central Prison following his arrest on charges of sedition for speaking in support of the LTTE at a public meeting in Erode recently, was formally served the arrest memo at the jail, reports received at the police headquarters here said.

Dindigul police had registered a case against him for addressing a recent meeting in support of the LTTE in the name of espousing the cause of Sri Lankan Tamils. - UNI
