BOI signs agreements for training centre, software development
The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted investment approval to
Embla Software Innovation (Private) Limited and International Talent
Development Institute (Private) Limited.
Chairman/Director General Dhammika Perera signed the agreements on
behalf of the BOI and presented the BOI Certificate of Registration to
the investors.

An investment agreement worth US $ 150,000 to set up a software
development project was signed with Embla Software Innovation (Private)
Limited. The Norway based company specialises in the development of
Genealogy Software.
Genealogy Software is used to record, organize, and publish
genealogical data. The solution collects data such as the date and place
of an individual’s birth, marriage, and death, and stores the
relationships of individuals to their parents, spouses, and children.
Additionally, genealogy programs handle additional events in an
individual’s life, free-form notes, photographs and other multimedia.

Limited Stein Inge Haaland said that all development work presently done
in US, Ukraine and India will be brought to Sri Lanka.
The software will be developed using the latest Microsoft
technologies and will employ local developers. The venture located at
Rajagiriya will commence operations shortly.

International Talent Development Institute signed an agreement to set
up a training centre in Colombo.
The investment for the training institute is sponsored by UAE based
ITDI Holding Limited.
General Manager of ITDI Deepak Khullar said, “The training institute
will provide professional training in Aviation, Hospitality, Travel and
Tourism, English, IT and Retail Management. The training courses will
target students who have completed A/Ls”.
International Talent Development Institute expects to provide
training for 300 students annually and will have six faculty members.
ITDI is an investment of US $ 100,000 that will create 50 new employment
opportunities.

Sri Lanka’s travel and tourist industry will benefit from the new
training centre that will be established by UAE based ITDI Private Ltd. |
