President’s College make 240/8

President’s College was batted all day to lift their total to 240 for the loss of eight wickets in the first day of their cricket encounter played at Wijerama Mawata yesterday.

Jayaranga Priyasad was not out with 82 and Arosha Geethanga was on 15 at the end of the day. Match will continue today.

President’s College: 240/8 in 102 overs (Jayaranga Priyasad 82 n.o., Nipuna Geethanga 45, Arosha Geethanga 15 n.o. Malshan Gunasinghe 4 for 59, Naveen Kavikara 3 for 68).


Trinity College Sports meet

The annual inter-house sports meet of Trinity College will be held at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy on February 26 at 9 a.m.

Former Trinity College rugby captain and rugby Lion who later went on to play for Sri Lanka and the Army with distinction. Brigadier Jupana Jayawardena will be the Chief Guest.
