Minister of Religious Affairs in Palestine Jamal Bawatha paid a courtesy call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on Thursday. Ambassador of Palestine Anver Al Aga was also present. A special delegation accompanied the Minister. The delegation thanked President Rajapaksa for his commitment to the cause of the Palestinian people. The delegation also noted their concern of the LTTE using civilians. They also praised the peaceful coexistence of various religious denominations in Sri Lanka.
