TELEMG felicitates veterans
 The
Tele Makers Guild (TELEMG) which will be celebrating 15 years of service
on behalf of the welfare of the local television scene will honour
veterans in the field.
Screen queen Malini Fonseka, veteran film director Dharmasena
Pathiraja and experienced music composer Rohana Weerasinghe will be
felicitated at an event held at the Mahaweli Centre, Colombo 7, on
February 19 at 4 p.m.
A book tracing the history and growth of the television industry
along with a directory which includes the contact details of those
engaging in the industry will also be launched.
Minister of Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion, Anura
Priyadarshana Yapa will be the chief guest at the event. Ministers
Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, T.B. Ekanayake will
also grace the occasion. Head of Telecom Leisha de Silva and many of
those who are engaging in the television scene will also take part. - RJ |
