Hideki Finance and Investments Ltd which is under liquidation will
settle more claims of its depositors shortly.
Hideki Finance and Investments Ltd which is under liquidation will
settle more claims of its depositors shortly.
The liquidators of the company have called upon depositors to submit
their claims with the relevant documents before the end of February.
The liquidators of the Company who were appointed by the District
Court of Colombo have taken steps to settle the claims of the creditors
of the Company including the depositors, depending on the net
realisation of the assets owned by the company, as provided in the
Companies Act No. 17 of 1982.
The claims will be received up to February 28, 2009 and the
depositors can call over at 30 Galle Road between 9.30 a.m. and 3.30
p.m. on week days.
Hideki Finance went bankrupt in 1987 and hundreds of depositors were
affected.
However, the depositors have been paid the approved percentage in
three instalments up to date.
The final payments will be made after February 28 and the company
will be closed thereafter.
The payments to depositors were made by the Central Bank earlier and
this time it was delegated to SMJ Associates following a court order. |
