Cambrian juniors win

Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa under 13 cricketers went on to beat Mahanama College in their All-Island Division one pre-quarter finals inter-school cricket match by eight wickets in the Tournament organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and played at Moratuwa.

Mahanama who batted first were 172 for 9 in their allotted fifty overs with C.J. Kumara top scoring with 58 runs. I.A.G. Chamara took 3 for 58. Cambrians notched up the required runs for the loss of two wickets in 35 overs with skipper Ashen Mendis unbeaten on 77 runs.

Mahanama - 172 for 8 (C.J. Kumara 58, I.A.G. Chamara 3 for 58, S.S.P. Silva 2/42).
