Zahira a first innings win

I Ghouse's good knock of 113 helped Zahira College, Colombo to score a first innings win over Kegalu Vidyalaya in their inter-school cricket match concluded at Kegalle yesterday.

Meanwhile, Kegalu Vidyalaya Roshan Weerasinghe scored twin fifties 57 in the first innings and 59 in the second. Maleesha Liyanage also batted well to score 52.

Kegalu Vidyalaya: 244 (Roshan Weerasinghe 57, Maleesha Liyanage 52, Kalpa Bandaranayake 37, J. Madusanka 25, D. Abeyratne 17, I. Wijesinghe 15, C. Weerasinghe 14, I Ghouse 3 for 54, M. Irshard 2 for 10, M. Hayazeen 2 for 22, M. Hilam 2 for 12) and 125 for 5 wickets in 37 overs (Roshan Weerasinghe 59, D. Abeyratne 29, C. Weerasinghe 15, S. Kumara 14 n.o., M. Hilam 2 for 15, M. Hayazeen 2 for 24).
