Revised itinerary for Indian tour
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yesterday revised the itinerary for India's
forthcoming tour allotting just a solitary one day international to the
historic Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
The stadium in Dambulla was initially scheduled to host the first two
one day internationals but the venue for the second game has now been
shifted to the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Three of the five matches will be played under lights - all of them
at the R. Premadasa stadium while the first and the fifth - at the SSC -
will be day games. The Indian team is scheduled to arrive in Colombo on
January 26 and will leave for Dambulla on the following day. India last
toured Sri Lanka in July-August 2008 while losing the test series 2-1
and winning the one day international series 3-2. The revised schedule:
Jan. 28 - First one-day in Dambulla.
Jan. 31 - Second one-day at R. Premadasa Stadium (d/n)
Feb. 3 - Third one-day at R. Premadasa Stadium (d/n)
Feb. 5 - Fourth one-day at R. Premadasa Stadium (d/n)
Feb. 8 - Fifth one-day at SSC grounds
Feb. 10 - Twenty20 international at R. Premadasa Stadium (d//n) |
