Kandyan Reach Hotel

Athagala (the Elephant Rock) is one of seven rocks that overlook the town of Kurunegala and shaped to resemble a crouching Elephant, and serenely seated atop Athagala is the Samadhi Buddha statue, benignly overlooking a city.

There are many ancient and religious places in Kurunegala such as Arankele hermitage, Ridee Viharaya, Panduwas Nuwara and Monaragala Rambadagalla Buddha statue etc. People who visit these places can be accommodated at the Kandyan Reach Hotel because it can be the perfect place for them peacefully. The main view of Athugala from the hotel is magnificent. People who reach the top of it can see the entire location of Kurunegala and the Kandyan reach hotel is also seen well.

Kandyan Reach Hotel is popular for wedding ceremonies with reasonable prized menus with different varieties of delicious cuisines. It has two banquet halls and the main hall can accommodate 250 pax and the 'Olive Green' banquet hall can accommodate 100 pax.

This hotel includes 23 standard rooms and some rooms are located in front of the swimming pool. They have introduced a new outlet where people can take packets of tropical rice covered by lotus leaves which has a good demand.

This hotel was started on February 20, 1997 as a family concern and the Chairman of this hotel is A.M. Abeyratne.

The Kandyan Reach Hotel has invested eighty million rupees and before the end of this year they will add 28 Super Luxury rooms and 1 suite with superior facilities. The hotel will operate their new banquet hall from next month which can accommodate 800 pax. The new conference hall will accommodate 1000 pax. (G.P)
