Prabhakaran on the run - Defence Spokesman

The LTTE leader is hiding and is on the run. Prabhakaran is having a series of bunker lines and he is changing from one bunker to other every half an hour, Foreign Investment Promotion and Defence Spokesman Kheliya Rambukkwella told the Daily News.

The Minister said the government has great concern over innocent civilians and in some instances, air attacks targeting the LTTE leader were held back purely due to Government's concern over civilians.

He said the Government succeeded in changing the people's mindset after two years. Certain elements tried to create public opinion that the LTTE is invincible. This has become a myth now, the Minister said.

He said his Ministry has taken all possible action to ensure that the people and youth who fled the uncleared areas are safe.
