Twenty-nine students who completed the Diploma in Draftmanship program conducted by the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) displayed their model houses at the exhibition at Nipunatha Piyasa in Narahenpita on Tuesday. Every student had to submit two designs of model houses including a two-storeyed building as part of their course work for the final exhibition. 2007 was another record breaking year for crude, making it the sixth consecutive year that prices have risen.  Global oil production fell by 126 kb/d or 0.2% to 81.5 mb/d in 2007. In the past year global oil consumption growth was stronger than the 0.9 mb/d (1.1%) growth in 2006. China and Middle East oil exporters accounted for much of the net growth in global oil consumption. 2007 Oil Reserves stood at 1237.9 billion barrels. Reserves have grown 107.8 billion barrels since 2001 and 168.5 billion barrels or 14%, over the past decade. Oil prices increased over US $ 150 per barrel last year.
