Pakistan extends detention of Lashkar founder
PAKISTAN: Pakistan Saturday extended for two months the house arrest
of the founder of banned militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba blamed by India
for the Mumbai terror attacks.
Hafiz Mohammad Saeed was detained in December after the United
Nations declared his Islamic charity Jamaat-ud-Dawa, believed to be a
front for Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist group. Sunday, AFP |
