Child dies falling into water basin

Sumathipala DEEYAGAHAGE, Southern Province Roving corr.

A one year old child died by falling into a basin of water in front of the house. The victim was Weerasamy Nageshwaram Chamara Sampath of Pahala Lelwala Wanduramba.

The investigation into the death was held at the Karapitiya General Hospital by the Galle Inquirer into sudden deaths U.K. Thilakasena.

From the evidence and the post mortem examination report the verdict was accidental death caused by asphyxia due to drowing.
