Man drowned bathing at Wella Devalaya

A person bathing at Wella Devalaya in Unawatuna, Galle drowned. The victim was a retired General Manager of the National Savings Bank Don Upajeewa Wijeratna of Dharmodaya Mawatha, Battaramulla.

Inquiries into the death was held by the Inquirer into Sudden Deaths (ISD) Galle U.K. Thilaksena. From the evidence laid and the post-mortem examination report the ISD returned the verdict of death due to asphyxia by drowing.
