Eleven defective vehicles found in Mahiyangana

Eleven defective motor vehicles were found on the road in the Mahiyanganaya town during a recent inspection carried out by police in association with the motor vehicle inspector in Badulla.

The drivers of these eleven vehicles, including five private sector buses, were ordered to get their vehicles repaired and produce them before him within 14 days for inspection.

Among the defects found in the vehicles were the deterioration of the body, mechanical failures in the system of the steering, emission of black smoke, damaged seats, failures in lighting system, unsuitable tires and many more.

Around 15 other vehicles were checked for defects and they were in good condition.
