Job opportunities for upcountry youth

Minister of Youth Empowerment and Socio Economic Development and the General Secretary of Ceylon workers' Congress Arumugan Thondaman has organised a three day seminar for self employment training and leadership selecting to upgrade the upcountry youth's living condition through Saumyamoorthy Thondaman Memorial Foundation in Hatton Thondaman Vocational Training Centre.

The minister made this decision to provide self - employment and vocational training to the upcountry youth to uplift their lives at national level taking into consideration their hardships in exposing their abilities and education.

The minister has given several jobs to upcountry youth who were training under the Thondaman Vocational Training Centre and project machines and other equipment were also provided to them for self employment.
