Girl dies in bike-car clash

A seven-year-old girl died when a motorcycle and car collided in Mayurapura, Tissamaharama on Monday evening.

Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said a family of four including father, mother and two children riding the motorcycle collided with a car coming from the opposite side at Mayurapura. "The incident had occurred around 6.00 p.m.," he added.

He said Thushari Wasanthi died on the spot and others including a three-year-old baby were admitted to Matara Hospital. Tissamaharama Police are investigating.
