Food convoys arrive in M'thivu

Sixty lorries carrying essential food items arrived in Mullaithivu on Monday through the Nedunkerney Army roadblock, according to the Defence Ministry.

The consignment includes all essential food items such as rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil, and medicines, the sources added. The food consignment is to be distributed among the civilians in Mullaithivu District through the Civil Administrative Authorities. A food convoy of the World Food Programme also accomplished the lorries.
