This slim bound book contains a brief introduction to 12 of our most
renowned female artistes. From screen queen Malini Fonseka to child
artist Sarala Kariyawasam, Antharjathika Keerthiyata Path Apey Cinema
Shilpiniyo includes many important aspects of the artistes who have made
it big in cinema.
 Beginning with veteran filmmaker Sumithra Peries, the chapters are
divided among Malini Fonseka, Nita Fernando, Anoja Weerasinghe, Sabeetha
Perera, Anoma Jinadhari, Inoka Sathyangani, Damitha Abeyratne, Nimmi
Harasgama, Nithyawani Kandasami, Pramudi Karunaratne and Sarala
Kariyawasam. It also includes a collection of old and recent photographs
of the artistes.
The chapters take on a mini-biographical format and trace the
individual’s achievements. It also reveals many unknown facts looming at
the backdrop of the artistes’ success. A few quotes taken from renowned

Author Bernard Sri Kantha had gained recognition as a novelist and a
writer of books based on documentary. He had also edited articles for
magazines.
His previous work comprise novels like Aedanda, Abhisheka, Dedunu,
Apeksha, Nirmala and Liviya. He had also authored Meepura Kalakaruwo,
Pasku Natya Lipi Saraniya, Paramparika Deevara Krama, Meepura
