Five charged with possession of illicit intoxicant

Five persons including two women who possessed 4200 ml. of illicit intoxicant were fined Rs. 25,000 by Dambulla Magistrate Nimal Ranaweera.

M.D. Mallika Rupasinghe, K.G. Chandrawathi, Lalith Padmasiri, G.K., Anton Silva and B.G. Lenard were charged in this regard.

Galewela police and Matale district excise unit prosecuted.
