New road boon to two remote villages

A new road from Hebbekanda to Badullawatte in the Ambagamuwa (Ginigathena) DS Division in the Nuwara Eliya district has been constructed by the Ambagamuwa Divisional Secretariat under the Government's Gama Neguma programme.

The Ministry of Nation Building funded Rs. 1,000,000 for construction of the new road linking the remote villages of Hebbekanda and Badullawatte situated up and down the same mountain slope bordering the Kehelgamu Oya. Central Provincial Councillor and Chief SLFP organiser for Maskeliya W.G. Ranasinghe said with the commissioning of the new road residents of the remote villages of Hebbekanda and Badullawatte have been able to travel conveniently.
