15 suspects arrested during illicit kasippu raid

The Mahawa, Nikaweratiya and Polpithigama police stations seized 1,644 drams of kasippu and 4,080 drams of goda and arrested 15 suspects during three separate raids conducted on illicit kasippu dens in their areas on Sunday and Monday, police headquarters said.

Police also rounded up another 10 suspects who were evading arrests following warrants issued in them.
