Five PS members cross over to SLFP

Five UNP members of the Patha Hewaheta Pradesheeya Sabha including its Vice Chairman have crossed over to the SLFP.

They met Nation Building and Estate Infrastructure Development Minister S.M. Chandrasena at the annual convention of the Patha Hewaheta SLFP Central Organisation held at Hewaheta recently and promised to support the UPFA and ensure its victory at the forthcoming Central Provincial Council Election. The five members are current Pradesheeya Sabha Vice Chairman A.M. Subahan, Y.M. Yapa Bandara, Mahinda Siriwansa, Sulfikar and Marikkar.

Meanwhile, another 200 UNP supporters led by Sisira Devasinghe, Private Secretary to UNP Hewaheta Chief Organiser Mrs. Sriyani Daniel and one Wimalasena, organiser Udupila UNP Cluster Organisation also called on Minister Chandrasena and assured their support to the Government to ensure a UPFA victory said the Minister’s Media Co-ordinating Officer U.G. Hettiarachchi.

Hewaheta SLFP Organiser Mahinda Abeyakoon was also present on the occasion.
