Schoolchildren in Bundala get assistance

In appreciation of services rendered by President Mahinda Rajapaksa schoolchildren of Bundala village in Hambantota district were feted on December 4 by providing school gear worth of Rs. five lakhs.

These donations included 35 brand New Bicycles providing transport services where both public and private transport is not available. Other items provided were school uniforms, exercise books, etc.

Funds for this were provided by the "Save the Children Organisation" of Sri Lanka. Mr. Weeratne said, special mention and thanks must go to the Branch Manager of the organisation and its staff.
