X-ONT looks for overseas projects

X-Ont Software (Pvt) Limited is looking at possibilities to penetrate into Middle Eastern and Asian countries to provide IT based solutions/applications for leading mobile phone companies.

Skilled IT professionals are new working with Tigo’s internal IT team to design, build and deploy X-ONT CellMagix Customer Relationship Management/Sales Force Automation Solution and Ornox Geoware a web based business GIS solution,” its Managing Director/CEO Fazeen M Farook told the Daily News Business.

He said this new IT solution is deployed for Tigo which is being used for the first time in the region and operational in 13 countries. Millicom (Tigo), is a Luxembourg company and has become a benchmark for other cellular operators in the region. With X-ONT’s help, Tigo has deployed a world-class sales force capable to manage its 130 sales engineers spread across the country with up to the minute online real-time information at its finger tips, he said.

Farook said currently some mobile telecom operators in the country have approached them to use their systems.

To automate the 130 mobile sales engineers’ entire day to day business process from inventory ordering, territory management, sales invoicing of prepaid scratch cards of various denominations, stock control, scratch card activation, reload or top up credit sales, cash management, banking to merchandising and head office sales administration and control to moving to a near paperless business environment and web based visual analysis of business information and general administration and control of business process.

X-ONT recommended that Tigo implement a comprehensive Operational CRM solution with a fully integrated sales force to improve its sales, forecasting, retailer stock out situation, customer service capabilities and head office sales administration and audit capability to differentiate its services and better respond to the evolving needs of its business environment.

In July 2007 X-ONT mobilized a team of solution architects, consultants and developers to work with Tigo consisting of key members from internal IT, sales and marketing, finance and engineering to design, build and deploy X-ONT CellMagix Operational CRM and Sales Force Automation Application.
