Health Minister to Thailand, Vietnam
Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva will tour
Thailand from December 11 to 14 on an invitation by Thai Government,
Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry spokesman said. He will also visit
Vietnam.
Minister de Silva will take part in the Health Ministers' Summit to
be held in Thailand as the Chairman of the Executive Board of the WHO.
He will also take part in South East Asian Parliamentarians Forum
2008 to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam on December 13 and 14. He will deliver
a special lecture on the theme 'Climate change and population'.
Childhood documentary
A documentary film on Early Childhood Development jointly made by the
Children's Secretariat of the Child Development and Women's Empowerment
Ministry and the Hemas Group PLC will be launched by Child Development
and Women's Empowerment Minister Sumedha G. Jayasena today at Hedges
Court, Colombo 10 at 3 pm.
JICA A.A. Christmas party
The JICA Alumni Association of Sri Lanka has organised Christmas
party for the children of its members. It will be held on December 20 at
the Auditorium of the Sasakawa Memorial Cultural Centre, Colombo 3.
Christmas at Bambalapitiya
The Bambalapitiya Government Flats Welfare Association has organised
a Christmas party for the children of its members. It will be held on
December 21 at the Bambalapitiya Flats Community Centre Hall. A special
feature will be a sermon by Rev. Father Dexter Gray.
Public seminar
The Organisation of Professionals Associations of Sri Lanka and Sri
Lanka Economic Association will jointly hold a public seminar at 5 pm on
December 11 at the OPA Auditorium at No. 275/75, Prof. Stanley
