Lankans in Washington felicitate Armed Forces

Sri Lankans in the Washington D.C. area met to felicitate the Armed Forces who are fighting a heroic war and to seek blessings for them and their families.

Ven. Katugastota Uparathana Maha Thera, North American Sangha Nayaka presided at the ceremony with President, Coalition of United States Associations (COSAL) Sudath Gunasekera, Sri Lankan Ambassador Jaliya Wickramasuriya and others participating. It was held at the Wheaton International Buddhist Center in Maryland for the second year. Also participating were Ven. Henepola Nandasiri Nayaka Thera and Ananda Herath who represented the Dayaka Sabha. Sri Lankans donated medical supplies, including cyanide testing and pulse checking equipment and wheelchairs for the handicapped.
