Italy always opposed to terrorism - Italian Minister

Italy is always opposed to terrorism which spelled the division of states wherever it operated. Therefore, it will never support terrorism in whatever form, said Pio Amadeo, Minister of Social Welfare and Political Affairs of the Misina Province in Italy.

He expressed these sentiments after opening the photographic exhibition depicting LTTE activities at the CISL Trade Union Centre in Misina in Sicily, Italy on Saturday.

Maurizio Bernawa Misina Chief Secretary Tonio Genovese and Deputy Governors Mondello and Ali Brandi also attended the opening ceremony as guests of honour, said a Presidential Media Unit release.

Among others present were Ven. Wagegoda Seelananda Thera Viharadhipati, Katania Sicily Buddhist Viharaya, Ven. Bhukandayaye Jinaratana thera, Rev. Fr. Asoka Perera, Priest Incharge of Spiritual activities in Katania Rev. Fr. Sarath Nimal and Nimal Premasiri Co-President CISL.

The exhibition was jointly organised by the CISL and the Sri Lanka Union.
