Health, wealth and happiness at work:

Nervous system and managerial excellence

Your nervous system is the nerve centre of your efficiency, effectiveness and excellence.

If the nervous system fails to function well, you may become weak and you may suffer from a nervous breakdown.

The main features of the nervous system are the brian and spinal cord. The brain is the organ of thought, memory, and emotion. It also receives sensory impulses, controls and coordinates muscular movements, and regulates vital body processes. The spinal cord is the pathway for sensory and motor impulses to and from the brain.

The nervous system regulates and coordinates body activities in response to change in the internal and external environment. These changes, called stimuli, initiate impulses in millions of sensory receptors spread throughout the body. The principal sense organs are the eyes, ears, and sensory receptors in the skin, joints, nose, tongue, and muscles.

The brain

The brain has three parts: the cerebrum, which is divided into two hemisphere; the cerebellum; and the brain stem.

The cerebrum, which is the largest part of the brain, initiates all the body's voluntary actions. The cerebellum controls balance and muscle movement. The brain stem, which connects the cerebrum to the spinal cord, has important centres that regulate circulation and respiration.

Central Nervous system

The brain and spinal cord form the central nervous system. The peripheral nervous system links the central nervous system with the major parts of the body.

Your central nervous system can communicate with your body system.

The spinal cord is an information highway connecting the peripheral nervous system to the brain. Ascending neural "tracts" send up sensory information, and descending tracts send back motor-control information.

Your performance, memory power and other function of the body, especially the leadership centre and the personality centre, depends largely on the flow of electro magnetic and electro chemical energy in the nervous system.

How can you ensure that your nervous system functions well? How can you help your nervous system the operate well? How can you develop a healthy nervous system?

Is your nervous system functioning well?

If you want your nervous system to function well for you, stop smoking, limit your alcohol intake, tame your anger, avoid negative thinking and negative approach in work, manage your time well and avoid re-active behaviour.

The spinal cord carries the electro magnetic wave throughout your body. Stress at work, worries, negative thinking, negative attitude, poor morale, indifference, lack of satisfaction at work affects proper functioning of your spinal cord.
