CEAT supports SLTB's 50th anniversary

Sri Lanka's pneumatic tyre manufacturer CEAT Sri Lanka has
demonstrated its appreciation of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), a
key institutional customer, by sponsoring the 50th anniversary
celebrations of the SLTB.
The company will sponsor cash prizes totalling Rs. 500,000 to be
presented to the employees of SLTB who have performed well in their
duties.
The sponsorship cheque was handed over to Chief Executive Officer of
SLTB Dhammika Hewapathirana, in the presence of Deputy General Manager -
Finance at SLTB Damith Vitharanage. These cash prizes will be presented
to the best driver, best conductor and best technical officer.
"Reciprocal support to loyal customers has helped CEAT Sri Lanka
immensely to strengthen business relationships, and this is just one
example," General Manager - Sales & Marketing of CEAT-Kelani Associated
Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. Ravi Dadlani, said.
He said CEAT Sri Lanka had also donated equipment and machinery to
SLTB in the past to help the latter improve the quality of its services.
"We hope to support many useful projects in the future as well," Dadlani
said.
An ISO 9001:2000 certified company, CEAT Sri Lanka has a market share
in excess of 60 per cent in the Commercial tyre segment, and the company
is close to achieving market leadership in the Radial tyre segment as
well.
