Sri Lankan Blind Cricketers play in Pakistan

In response to an invitation from the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) a team of 15 players and 4 officials from Sri Lanka Blind Cricketers Association will be on a ten day tour of Pakistan from 26th November to 5th December 08.

The tour is approved and supported by the Minister of Sports and Public Recreation Gamini Lokuge. They will play five 40 over ODIs and one 20-20 overs match in Lahore and Islamabad. Pakistan are the current World Champions. Sri Lanka is lead by Chandanakumara Suriarachchie with Wasantha Udayakumara as Vice Capt. both with ten years experience in internationals.

There are three war wounded from Ranaviru Sevana; 3 from Anuradhapura, 1 from Moneragala, Matara, Galle, Bibile, Kegalle, Chilaw etc.
