Maris Stella under-15 cager champions

Maris Stella College, Negombo emerged champions by beating Jennings International School, Marawila in the final of the Boys Under-15 Gampaha District Zonal Basketball Tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association played at Maris Stella College, Negombo on Friday.

Maris Stella College overcame Jennings convincingly with a huge margin of points by 65 to 11 after leading 45 points to 5 at the breather. Lahiru Fernando (33) and Niroshan Perera (15) played a splendid game for the winners.

Christ King College Tudella became the third in the tournament by routing St. Anthony's College Wattala in an exciting match which they won by 36 points to 34. Himal Anushka (12) was the main scorer for the winners while Chathuranga (25) made a valiant effort for the losers.
