MICH renovates Elders’ Home

The Moors Islamic Cultural Home (MICH) reached another milestone

recently with the renovation and extension of the Lady Fareed Elders Home in Makola.

The Elders Home which was opened on September 22, 1957 by then Governor General of Ceylon, Sir Oliver Gunatileke and built on a land gifted by Lady Ameena Fareed, wife of Moor Leader Sir Razik received a major boost as a result of a magnanimous act of generosity by Hajee Eliyas Abdul Kareem, Chairman of EAM Maliban Textile Group. A new state of the art building complete with all amenities was also opened.
