Hawker Street on October 10

The Hawker Street Fair will kick off on October 10 and will go on till October 19 at the TransAsia hotel.

Chefs have been flown in from Singapore with the courtesy of American Express. Long Feng’s Zhiqianq Qiu joins them in putting this show together.

Delightful flavours from Malaysia, Singapore and India will be all under one roof at this event.

The Terrace of Trans Asia will be transformed into a busy street atmosphere, with a total festive feel, with tables set on the Terrace facing the Beira Lake under the night skies.

Lanka’s IT potential highlighted

Following the visit of delegation headed by BOI, India’s premier business newspaper has highlighted the growing benefits of locating in Sri Lanka for Indian IT and BPO SMEs. In a news report from the Indian IT capital of Bangalore, The Economic Times of India has lauded Sri Lanka, including the country’s lower operating costs and easier access to the best talent for SMEs.

The Economic Times of India has the world’s second highest ciculation by a financial newspaper after The Wall Street Journal. The article follows a highly successful visit last month to the Indian IT/BPO hubs of Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
