Severe damage to LTTE radar position

JAFFNA: Air Force gunship MI-24 helicopters carried out a fresh air raid targeting a LTTE Radar position in Nagathivanthurai, Pooneryn on Wednesday night causing heavy damage to the installation.

Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said the SLAF gunship MI-24 pounded an LTTE forward Radar position in Nagathivanthurai, Pooneryn. The precise air raid was launched on Wednesday at around 10 pm, he added. He said the aerial attack was launched following precise and accurate information provided by ground intelligence sources and air surveillance.
