Otters in 88-60 win

Otters SC trounced Colombo Bulls Basketball Club by 88 points to 60 after taking a 36 points to 24 lead at breather in a Otters Diamond Jubilee Invitation Basketball Tournament continued at Otters courts on Sunday.

Gayan Meedeniya (28) and M.K. Shiran (19) were the top scorers for the winners while Tissara Chathuranga (17) and Anushka Wishwanath (13) were the main scorers for Bulls BC. Gayan Meedeniya of Otters SC was fittingly adjudged the best player of the match.

Colombo Basketball Club beat Wennappuwa Knights BC by a margin of 89 points to 71 after grabbing a 45 points to 30 lead at half time played at Otters. Jagath Kulatunge (24) and Chamath Danawansa (15) stood out for the winners while Virantha Bastian (28) and Malinda Fernando (19) did well for the losers. Jagath Kulatunge of Colombo BC was named the best player of the match.

In another match played on the same day Wattala BC defeated Old Bens SC by 93 points to 73.
