The Association for Sri Lanka-China Social and Cultural Co-operation
and China International Radio Listeners' Association and China-Sri Lanka
Young Journalists Forum have organised a series of programmes to mark
the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the Reform and Open Policy
of China.
The program themed 'A Glorious Country - A Glorious Concept' includes
photographic exhibitions, lectures and film shows.
Essay Competitions and Quiz programs have also been organised on the
topic of Reforms and Open Policy in China.
There will be a tourist campaign enabling the Sri Lankans to visit
China and see the Special Economic Zones and beautiful places in that
county.
The Organising Committee of Allied Associations established under the
directive of Minister Rajitha Senaratne comprises: Nandasena
Madawanarachchi, Nalin Aponso, Mangala Jayasinghe, Thilak Udumullage,
Kula Sri Kariyawasam, Madhushan Kularatne.

Association and China-Sri Lanka Young Journalists Forum will be held
under two categories i.e. open and schools.
A minimum of 750-1000 words are required for the Open Competition.
Subjects for school competitions will be how the Reforms and Open
Policy could change a developing third world country and Special
Economic Zones in China. There should be a minimum of 500-750 words for
the school competition.
The applicants should state whether the essays submitted by them are
open or school essays and send them before October 30, 2008 addressed to
Organizer, No. 107, Deans Road, Colombo 10.
Awards and certificates will be presented to the winners at a
function in Colombo in December 2008. First, second and third places
will be selected from the respective divisions. There will be Merit
Awards too. |
