Future Forum on ITN today

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka audiences will have the privilege of witnessing the first ever open public forum among the public, high officials of the Government, professionals, private corporations and academics to discuss the most pressing issues experienced by the country during specific periods of time.

The Open Public Forum named the 'Future Forum' which is an initiative of the Presidential Secretariat will be a series of forums containing numerous topics related to the most important issues of the country.

The discussion topic for the first public forum was 'Food Security and Cost of Living'. This topic was chosen considering the current problems experienced in the country to seek an appropriate set of recommendations from the public and the panellists to present to the President.

The first session was held at the BMICH on August 27. The proceedings of this first 'Future Forum' will be telecast on ITN tonight at 10 on ITN.
