Govt. condemns India blasts

The Government yesterday condemned the terrorist bombings in New Delhi on Saturday night.

“It is with great distress that the Government and people of Sri Lanka have learned about the series of terrorist bomb attacks in New Delhi on Saturday night resulting in loss of life and injury to innocent people. Sri Lanka unequivocally condemns such barbaric acts of terrorism which can never be justified under any circumstance for whatever reason,” the Government said.

“In this hour of grief, the Government and people of Sri Lanka stand by the people and the Government of India in sympathy with those who suffered as a result of indiscriminate terrorist bombing and stand in solidarity with all comprehensive measures that are being taken by authorities in India to eradicate terrorism”.
