Groth and Ball in Davis Cup team

Inexperienced Sam Groth and Carsten Ball have been named in the four-man Australian Davis Cup team to take on Chile this month, Tennis Australia said on Wednesday.

Ball, the world No. 190, and 235th-ranked Groth join Chris Guccione (80) and Peter Luczak (178) for the World Group playoff in the Chilean coastal town of Antofagasta from Sept. 19-21. Former world No.1 Lleyton Hewitt was unavailable due to injury.
