Bus falls into cliff injuring 20

Twenty passengers were injured when a private bus plying from Mahanuwara to Mahiyangana fell into a steep cliff near the 40th mile post in Hunnasgiriya area on Tuesday.

Two persons were critically injured with broken limbs. The injured have been admitted to Ududumbara Hospital, police said. Women and children were among the wounded. Some have been sent to Mahanuwara General Hospital. The accident had taken place around 2.30 pm, Ududumbara police said. Police said, they are yet to determine the cause of the accident. Ududumbara police are investigating.
