Healthcare Minister to address US conference

Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva left for the United States to deliver a special speech on 'Steps that can be taken at Global and Regional level to Control Malnutrition' at the Colombia University on September 12 (Friday), a Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry spokesman said.

He said Minister De Silva received an invitation from the Colombia University to address the conference on 'Nutrition and Millennium Goals' organised by the same university. Minister De Silva will participate in this conference as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the WHO and Healthcare and Nutrition Minister of Sri Lanka.

Health Ministers from 60 countries and several other specialist doctors on nutrition and related subjects will also participate.
