Leadership, career Guidance seminar
A leadership seminar for youth between 15 to 30 years organised by
the Youth Empowerment Division of the Bandaranaike Center for
International Studies will be held at the BCIS auditorium on September
17 at 5.00 p.m.
The session will be conducted by Dr. Anura Ekanayake, Vice Chairman,
Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. the topic will be on expectations of the
private sector and how youth should prepare themselves for the job
market in the private sector. Entrance is free of charge. Participants

Yoga Bhavana workshop
The Yoga Bhavana workshop organised annually by the Maharagama
Sethsanda Yoga Nikethanaya will be held on September 7 from 9.00 am to
6.00 pm at the National Youth Services Council, Maharagama.
The event which will unveil ancient Indian formulae for a healthy
mind and body expects the participation of around 1,500 guests.
The organisation will provide breakfast, lunch and evening tea to all
participants. Participants are requested to reserve their seats on

his book Yoga and Vishva Shakthi
Bharatha Ridee Gee every Saturday
Bharatha Ridee Gee is broadcast every Saturday from 7 p.m. to 8. p.m.
on Isuru FM 93.6 will look back at the golden days of Indian cinema. The
best of the Hindi cinema will be featured. Bharatha Ridee Gee is
compered by Sulakshini Udeshika and produced by Aruna Pattinige.
General meeting
A special general meeting of the Junior Old pupil’s Association of
the Sri Dharmaloka Vidyalaya, Kelaniya will be held at the school’s main
hall tomorrow at 9.00 a.m. The meeting will focus on education
exhibition and a fun fair related to the school’s 70th anniversary

Man shot dead

A man was shot dead by unidentified gunman yesterday morning in
Udappuwa, Mundalama near the Muththumari Devalaya, police spokesman SSP
Ranjith Gunasekera said.
Raveendran Arumugam 31 was shot dead at the Udappuwa beach near the
Muththumari Devalaya around 6.00 a.m. |
