Seminar on transport infrastructure
A seminar on the “Importance of transport infrastructure for national
development” will be held on August 26 at the Galadari.
This is an initiative aimed at catalysing vigorous research and a
challenging debate on transport infrastructure and its impact on
national development.
By bringing together those who create policy, the bureaucrats, the
specialists, academics and professionals, the Chamber is providing an
effective forum to facilitate consultation and participatory governance
in infrastructure development.
Resource persons who will make presentations include Prof. Amal
Kumarage of the University of Moratuwa, Chairman, Road Development
Authority, M.B.S. Fernando, Regional Director, Scott Wilson Ltd., Don
Wootton, Additional General Manager, Technical, Sri Lanka Railways P.P.
Wijesekera and Dayanthe Athulathmudali who currently serves as Director
Dubai World Central, a Government of Dubai owned enterprise engaged in
building of a new mega airport at Jebal Ali.
