HSZ lands released for paddy cultivation

Security Forces released 103 acres of land in the High Security Zone
(HSZ), belonging to 73 civilians for paddy cultivation, East of Ariyalai
in Jaffna.
Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said 73 registered
civilians who owned lands in the HSZ's between the Ariyalai railway
track and Colombo-Kandy A9 road had been allowed to commence cultivation
in their paddy lands following improvement of security situation in the
Jaffna peninsula.
"The lands extending 103 acres had been released and accessed to
pursue paddy cultivation in the East of Ariyalai," Brigadier Nanayakkara
told the Daily News.
