Techno 2008 begins October 17

The Techno 2008, National Engineering and Technology Exhibition
organised by the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) will be held at
the BMICH from October 17 to 19, 2008.
Chairman Techno Ranjith Rubasinghe said the exhibition is nourished
with a number of special segements, such as Vidatha in association with
the Ministry of Science and Technology, a Robot Competition with young
members of IESL and junior inventors.
There will be National Inter school Engineering and Technology Quiz
programme, National Engineering Summit and Techno Engineering Awards as
parallel events. There will be a special stall for Nano Technology this
year at the exhibition.
Chairman IESL Ranjith Gunawardena said engineers in Sri Lanka have
done a lot for the country although not publicised in the media.
